North Mayfair Social & Cultural Survey

The North Mayfair Social & Cultural Survey was commissioned by Grosvenor to provide a contemporary understanding of the northern part of the Grosvenor Estate in Mayfair. The Grosvenor Estate in Mayfair reflects over 300 years of careful development and management, during which time Grosvenor has acted as both developer and guardian. As a baseline study, the survey will support ongoing strategic thinking about place-making and identity in this part of the Estate.

The report includes analysis of land-use, movements and networks and local demographics; mapping and databases of provision; summaries of history and policy that addresses the development of the Estate as well as a commissioned photographic portrait of the neighbourhood by Philipp Ebeling; and a selection of sample interviews that explore the lived experience and the identity of the neighbourhood from the perspectives of local residents, workers, and players.
