The Street: Whitechapel Art Gallery
The Whitechapel Art Gallery commissioned General Public Agency as writers to produce a series of contributions their landmark project The Street � a year-long series of international artists� commissions in and around Wentworth Street, also known as Petticoat Lane Market. General Public Agency�s contributions explored the policy landscape affecting Wentworth Street, firstly through an investigation into the spatial policy and encroachment of the City�s financial district, and secondly through economic policy and an investigation by artist Kate Rich into contemporary commerce routes for the fabric traded in the market.
